Keith Alcorn

Director, writer and producer · Born February 19, 1957 (69) · Fort Worth, Texas, USA

For over 40 years Keith Alcorn has been involved in all facets of animation. In 1987 he co-founded DNA Productions, Inc. DNA provided script to screen services for Corporate and Commercial clients until they transitioned to the Entertainment Industry and became one of the largest animation facilities in the U.S. In 1997, Alcorn served as producer/character designer for the 1997 ABC animated Christmas special, "Santa vs. the Snowman". In 2002 the project was converted into the very first all-animated IMAX feature film. That same year he served as director/designer for the CBS's Saturday Morning series, "The Weird Al Show". In 1999 he produced the Emmy nominated, "Olive, the Other Reindeer" for the FOX network and Matt Groening. Two years later, Keith produced and co-created the Oscar nominated animated feature film, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" for Paramount and Nickelodeon. Alcorn also served as director/co-executive producer on the Nickelodeon series, "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius" before serving as executive producer on the feature film, "The Ant Bully" for Warner Brothers and Tom Hanks. In 2010 Alcorn was co-creator/executive producer/director/writer for the Nickelodeon animated series, "Planet Sheen". Following "Planet Sheen" he went on to write and direct the faith-based animated series, "Owlegories" and the hour-long documentary, "Back on Badstreet". Keith Alcorn attended University of Texas at Arlington majoring in fine arts and film. In 2001 the school awarded Alcorn the Distinguished Alumni Award. Keith and his family reside just outside Dallas, TX.

Reviewers score the atmosphere 51/100 in their films, across 3 reviewed titles; fans 68, detractors 36. The element that speaks to their work as a director.

Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
