In 2011, Nicholas co-founded Sociable Films with Michelle Ouellet and Ali Liebert, and produced Sociable Films' flagship feature film, "Afterparty", distributed by Mongrel Media. Nicholas has also made his mark in the ever-growing realm of Digital Media, serving as head-writer and showrunner of the Canadian Screen Award-nominated and Leo Award-winning web-series "The True Heroines", and is the co-creator (with David Milchard) of the IPF and Telus funded, Leo Award Nominated digital series "Paranormal Solutions Inc." Nicholas's last produced screenplay "Prodigals" was nominated for Best Screenplay at the 2018 Leo Awards. As an instructor, Nicholas helped develop the curriculum for School Creative's Diploma in Screenwriting Program in Vancouver, B.C. and taught writing for the web, screenplay structure and story & creativity for three years before returning to Toronto in 2018. Concurrently with his career in writing and producing, Nicholas has appeared in more than sixty television shows and movies garnering a number of award nominations including Best Actor at the Canadian Comedy Awards for "Hooked on Speedman" and Best Supporting Actor at the Leo Awards for "Afterparty". He started his acting career with "The Famous Jett Jackson" and "Odyssey 5", and has since earned recurring role credits on shows like "Bates Motel" (A&E), "Harper's Island" (CBS), "Shut Eye" (Hulu) and "Mistresses" (ABC), as well as feature films "Citizen Duane", "Prodigals" and the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival hit "Buffaloed" (directed by Tanya Wexler and starring Zoey Deutch). You may also recognize Nicholas from guest starring appearances on "Motive", "Fringe", "Supernatural", "Designated Survivor" and "V" as well as numerous other prime-time dramas. Nicholas' latest project is a feature length comedy "Us in 9 Months" (written with Dave Deveau and the winner of the CFF Harold Greenberg Screenwriting Contest), where he is set to play the leading role. It is being produced by Mary Young Leckie (Maudie) and directed by Michelle Ouellet, and is scheduled to start pre-production once the world goes back to new-normal. After many years in Vancouver, Nicholas recently moved back to Toronto, ON with his wife and their dog Kricket.

Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
