Darren Doane (born 1972 in Westlake Village, California) is a Christian filmmaker and music video director. In 2007, Darren formed a new commercial, music video and branded content production company called LEVEL4 with Executive Producer Josh Karchmer. LEVEL4 has produced and edited projects for a client list that includes Toyota, Hurley/Nike, Saatchi & Saatchi, Atlantic Records, JBL and Universal Records. Prior to directing commercials and music videos, Darren also directed two live action short film adaptations of the Malibu Comics superheroes Hardcase (a four minute music video style promo starring British kickboxer Gary Daniels) and Firearm (a 35 minute long movie which served as a prequel to the actual comic, and came as a VHS packaged alongside specially ordered copies of the comic's #0). In fact, in Hardcase #1 there's a single panel in-joke referencing a "D. Doane" as being the director of "Hardcase: The Movie." Reviewers score the pacing 23/100 in their films, across 3 reviewed titles; fans 40, detractors 15. The element that speaks to their work as a director.
Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
