Based in Vancouver, Pieter has traveled the world shooting international programs for PBS, ABC, BBC and HistoryTV - films which educate, entertain and galvanize positive change including "Darwin’s Brave New World", "Music for Mandela" and "The World Is Bright". When shooting in North America, Pieter immerses himself in narrative feature-length and episodic film production -- his cinematography captures the unique character of real locations and authentic performances with expressive lighting, bold camerawork and intuitive collaborations with directors. Pieter's masterful knowledge of vintage lenses, modern cameras and virtual production is reflected by cinematography awards for TV series including "Secret Files of the Inquisition" and feature films "Hit-n-Strum" and "3 Days in Havana".
