Jeremy King

Actor, also producer · Chicago, Illinois, USA

Jeremy King is an American actor, comedian, producer, and writer. King began his acting career in typical fashion: performing in school productions and community theatre. Bitten by the acting bug in a production of Hernando Desoto playing the Lead in just the 4th grade. King also loved playing football, which he did for 12 years through his sophomore year of college. Playing various positions on offense from Tailback to Tight End, his true passion was in playing defense (Outside linebacker/Defensive End) where he won numerous awards and All-Star Team honors eventually earning him the nickname "King of Pain". He was born just outside of Chicago, IL. to Donald and Marcy King along with two older brothers and a younger sister. His ancestry includes Irish, English, Polish, and Italian. Jeremy and his family moved to Palm Harbor, FL when he was just 10. Jeremy performed in the theatre while attending the University of South Florida, completing his B.A. in Communication with a minor in psychology. After enjoying some success in Stand-Up Comedy and a short stint as a radio D.J. King quickly realized his passion was for acting in film and television. Jeremy would spend the next several years cutting his teeth with independent films while also studying Meisner technique at Art's Sake Studio under Yvonne Suhor, and Improv Comedy at the renowned S.A.K. University. He also took this time to vary his experience by studying martial arts (Karate/Kung-Fu), Stage combat, Weapons Training, and Stunt Driving. These skills have been showcased in several of his films. Jeremy King has appeared in over 40 films portraying diverse characters in a wide range of genres including action, drama, western, horror, and his favorite, Comedy. King has starred in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean III: On Stranger Tides, The Pale Door, Sinister Seduction, and Camera Obscura. King has most recently developed a cult following for his role as "Rad Chad Buckley" in the comedy horror Scare Package. In Scare Package, Chad Buckley is a lonely Horror aficionado, spending his days overseeing a struggling video store and arguing with his only customer, Sam. When an unsuspecting job applicant arrives, Chad sets out to teach him the rules of Horror; weaving in and out of hilarious segments geared toward the ropes and tropes of terror. Jeremy's latest projects have him teaming up once again with Paperstreet Pictures for a sequel to Scare Package, Scare Package 2: Rad Chad's Revenge, and appearing alongside Vince Vaughn, Natalie Martinez and Michelle Monaghan in the new Apple TV Series Bad Monkey.

Reviewers score the acting 34/100 in their films, across 8 reviewed titles; fans 59, detractors 19. The element that speaks to their work as an actor.

Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
