Ben Swilley

Actor

Ben entered this beautiful world near the Colorado River in the state of Texas. Like most Texans he has been thinking BIG ever since! He is a cousin of twice awarded Medal of Honor winner General Smedley Butler - feisty Marine and author of War is a Racket . Ben served in combat with the First Marine Division in Vietnam as a Corpsman, receiving a battlefield promotion and the Bronze Star medal. Thriving on a very exciting and interesting twenty years of military active duty, Ben traveled most of the globe and encountered thousands of wonderful people . A particularly enjoyable military experience for Ben was an attachment to the SEAL Team which involved Scuba Diving in pristine Caribbean waters, crawling through insect infested rain forests at night, and blowing lots of stuff up! An acting career evolved post military days , because Ben loves to tell a great story. Comfortable with many varying roles that he has successfully played on stage, TV, and Film, Ben discovered that his favorite character to play is that of a curmudgeon - just the opposite of his true life personality. Ben prays for many, many more years of being Blessed with the opportunity to entertain and share intriguing and emotion stirring stories with the viewing public.

Reviewers score the acting 60/100 in their films, across 3 reviewed titles; fans 72, detractors 37. The element that speaks to their work as an actor.

Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
