Ever since his indie rock group Hjaltalín exploded onto the scene in 2007, Högni has been one of the best known musicians in Iceland. A multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, he was soon recruited by famed electronic group GusGus for songwriting, singing and touring - resulting in a strong international following. In 2017, he released his eclectic first solo album Two Trains. Alongside his performance work, Högni has become well established as a composer for concert music, film, television and theatre. He has written scores for Moving Art Iceland (Netflix), the cutting-edge dance installation 'Project XO' (New Movement Collective), Hannah Felicia (Danskompaniet Spinn), The Heart of Robin Hood (The Royal Shakespeare Company) and Angels of the Universe (Icelandic National Theatre), The feature films Alma as well as the documentaries Third Pole and Against the Current, to state a few. In the summer of 2021, Netflix released the volcanic thriller "Katla" by Baltasar Kormákur, where Högni composed the for, which was performed by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.

Reviewers score the sound and music 72/100 in their films, across 3 reviewed titles. The element that speaks to their work as a composer.
Percentiles are each film's standing among all films on MovieCove; the typical film is the median, so one outlier cannot drag it. Percentiles and reviewer scores count the films IMDb credits them on, for now; the Midcredits score bands, the shape of the crowd and the two cards count their MovieCove titles, shows included (a show ranked among shows), appearances as themselves left out. A descriptor is the shape of a title's IMDb rating distribution against the catalog; "most divisive" needs a spread wider than half of all titles, and a card names only a principal credit: a craft role, and on a show a crew role or a run of episodes, never a courtesy credit or a one-off guest spot.
